Greetings! Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite dishes - Ghee Paratha! This dish is perfect for those days when you’re craving some delicious bread that’s easy to make and goes well with pretty much anything.
First Things First - What is Ghee?
If you’re not familiar with ghee, it’s essentially a type of clarified butter that has been simmered to remove all the water content and milk solids. This process results in a creamy, nutty, and flavorful oil that’s perfect for cooking.
The Recipe
Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious dish:
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/4 cup of ghee
- Water (as needed)
Let’s get started!

- Roll out each portion of dough into a thin, round shape.
- Heat a flat skillet or griddle on medium-high heat.
- Cook the paratha on the skillet and flip it over when it starts to bubble slightly.
- Cook the other side until it’s golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Repeat this process with the remaining portions of dough.
- Enjoy your delicious ghee parathas with your favorite chutney or curry!
